We're a small team of PR powerhouses

That’s why we get our clients the results they’ve been missing out on elsewhere. And we’ve only just begun.

Founded in 2013 by Sonia Prashar, spPR offers access to senior counsel only, unrivalled media connections and the flexibility and resilience required to go beyond the expected with every client program and campaign.

We balance creativity with the reliable PR strategies we’ve had repeated success with. And we won’t stop until you’re floored.

Our founder continues to work with many of the local PR agencies on a consultancy basis, having gained notoriety for her exceptional pitching skills and solid understanding of the evolving Canadian media landscape.

While media relations is our wheelhouse, we do so much more. We have a well-rounded team of experts that manage everything from strategy development and crisis communications to event planning and execution.

About Sonia Prashar

The spPR difference

We’re a mobile agency. In other words, our team works from home, establishing their own schedules, which allows us to be more responsive and productive. Not to mention that the flexibility and trust in one another to each do our best work makes for one very happy team.

And since our team is the most important factor in our clients’ success, our virtual agency model allows us to design the best team for the job at hand. Who wouldn’t want to work with an all-star team of PR professionals?

Our Team

Sonia Prashar

With more than 20 years of international agency and corporate experience, little stands in the way of this PR dynamo. One of her most notable campaigns is having coordinated Bill Gate’s first trip to India.

Not to mention that she also served as the National Brand Manager for Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) in India. Sonia was an integral part of the start up team that successfully created and implemented the launch of the Moet & Chandon and Hennessy brand across the country.

Since starting her agency in 2013, Sonia’s media relations expertise has continued to be highly sought after on a consultancy basis by some of the most prominent PR agencies in Canada.

When she does have some down time, Sonia sits on the board of MRP (Media Relations Rating Points) as a committee member and has served in the past on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators/Toronto (IABC) as Senior Director, Students, and as Director of Student Engagement & Sponsorships. Her dedication to the industry and fostering new talent earned her the recognition as the 2015 IABC/Toronto Mentor of the Year. She has also developed an engaging and well-received Media Relations Boot Camp that she has delivered at Humber and Centennial Colleges as well as various PR agencies.
